The first Elite New Face modelling series is now available exclusively on Tesco’s Clubcard TV service following a deal with digital entertainment curator FilmBuff.

The debut nine-part series follows the intensely emotional journey of a group of contestants from the Elite Model Look contest, from regional castings all the way to the World Final and, for the lucky winners, their first Fashion Week.

The Elite New Face series is available to 16 million Clubcard members exclusively for free on the ad-supported service. Content spanning comedy, drama, kids TV, romance, thrillers and documentaries is on offer with no charges, contracts or subscriptions.

Created in 1983, Elite Model Look attracts hundreds of thousands of participants every year from over 70 countries. A genuine career accelerator, the competition has propelled many aspiring and up-and-coming talents to become international top models including Cindy Crawford, Stephanie Seymour, Gisele Bündchen, Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio.

Clubcard TV has been developed by the team behind the Tesco movie and TV service blinkbox and is supported by targeted advertising based on users’ shopping habits. The service has thousands of TV episodes and movies following deals with producers including BBC Worldwide, Aardman, Endemol and Warner Bros.

Scott Deutrom, MD of Clubcard TV, said: “We’re thrilled to offer our first Clubcard TV exclusive. The Elite New Face series is a must watch for anyone interested in this exciting competition and the fascinating world of modelling. We hope this will be the first of many great exclusives for the growing number of Clubcard members discovering their new TV service.”

An established curator of quality entertainment across multiple platforms, US-based FilmBuff has been distributing the series to as many international territories as possible. “We are thrilled to be working with Clubcard TV on this exclusive for their members,” says Janet Brown, CEO of FilmBuff. “We look forward to the opportunity to bring more great content to the service.”
